Six baseball legends were selected for induction to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974, with the New York Yankees duo of Whitey Ford and Mickey Mantle helming the historic class. Additional inductees included Jocko Conlan, Jim Bottomley, and Sam Thompson via the Veterans Committee, and Cool Papa Bell via the Negro Leagues Committee. This 1974 National Baseball Hall of Fame yearbook features 25 historic signatures, including the Hall of Famers Hank Greenberg, Joe DiMaggio, Joe McCarthy, Casey Stengel, Red Ruffing, Lloyd Waner, and several others.
