1985 was another great season for Cal Ripken, Jr. both at the plate in in the field. Cal followed up his record-setting 1984 season with one that saw him lead the AL with 123 double plays and record 286 putouts. Used during the 1985 season, this Rawlings PRO-6-HF model fielder's glove shows awesome game use and has been photo matched by Resolution Photomatching to the September 29, 1985 game. The fingertips show appropriate scuffing as does the outside leather surfaces. The pocket is well-worn and has darked from use and the insides shows perspiration staining. The red and white Rawlings label is still intact and “RIPKEN” has been hand written in faded black marker on the outside pinky finger. The Orioles star has signed the glove’s index finger in black marker and “1985 Game All Star Game Minnesota” has been written on the outside of the index and middle fingers. This glove comes with a LOA from Cal Ripken, Jr. for the game use and signature, along with a LOA from PSA/DNA for the game use. This glove has been photo matched by Resolution Photomatching to the September 29, 1985 game and a LOA from Resolution will accompany this glove. Also included, is a certificate from Beckett Authentication stating they witnessed Cal Ripken, Jr. signing this item.
