Wade Boggs was one of the premiere hitters during his time, banging out 3,010 hits and winning five American League batting titles including a New York Yankee high mark of .342 during the 1994 season, his second with the Bombers. Based upon factory ordering records, the labeling period and player use characteristics, Boggs used this particular bat during the 1994 season. This 34.5 inch, 32 ounce Rawlings 456B block letter model bat shows evidence of outstanding use with a slight handle crack, ball and stitch marks, including several blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. In addition, racks streaks, some light deadwood on the barrel, and a moderate coating of pine tar run along the entire handle. Stamped on the knob is the model number (456B), order number (098) and the year (94), with Boggs' number "12" in black marker. The sweet spot contains a bold, silver sharpie "Wade Boggs" signature. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number E36308 for the bat, graded PSA GU 10; and full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number for the signature. This is a tremendous game used and signed bat from Wade Boggs second Yankee season.
