Few artists could tell a story with a song like the “Man in Black.” Johnny Cash, a member of both the Country and Rock and Roll Hall of Fames, changed the face of music from the 1950s until the time of his death in 2003.
This 8x10-inch portrait of the “I Walk the Line” singer taken by photographer Andy Earl features Johnny Cash’s signature in black marker in the skyline above his right shoulder. The black-and-white photo, which has a “1994 American Recordings” credit on the right border, features Cash giving a stoic look with a telegraph pole in the background. Below the portrait, “JOHNNY CASH” appears in bold, black lettering. The signature comes with PSA/DNA, cert number U77521.
