Ralph Sampson was an imposing player in the middle, was one of the most dominant big men ever to play the game, and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2012.
This signed, off-white Sacramento Kings home jersey features Sampson’s signature in black sharpie next to his number “50” on the front of the uniform. “Kings” appears across the chest of the jersey with Sampson’s number “50” on both sides in blue-on-red tackle twill. “Sampson” appears screened in blue on a white name plate below his number “50” on the back of the jersey, a design unique to the Kings at the time. The front tail of the jersey, which has a large tear from the bottom right corner to the bottom center of the piece, features a “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with size “46.” A pair of white strip tags to the right of the Sand-Knit manufacturer’s tag reads “88” and “3”LB,” indicating the jersey’s year and size modifications. The signature on the jersey is PSA certified and comes with an LOA from Dave Miedema, noted sports jersey expert.
