Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Hall of Famer. In the entire, lengthy history of the game, no one has hit more triples (309) than Sam Crawford. "Wahoo Sam" – he proudly hailed from Wahoo, Nebraska – was the premier slugger in the American League, preceding the arrival of Ty Cobb. In the days before the ball became "livelier," Crawford was a two-time home run champion. And, when Cobb joined the Tigers, the two formed the greatest double-steal combo the game had ever seen (in spite of a sometimes intense, personal rivalry). This nicely centered, attention-grabbing memento of Crawford puts forth a very satisfactory aesthetic, faulted primarily (and subtly) by light corner wear and faint spots of toning in the left-side margins. Very Good to Excellent condition.
