Graded NM-MT 8 by BGS. Diego Maradona’s greatest highs came at the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico, with the diminutive playmaker leading Argentina to their second FIFA World Cup title. Maradona scored two of the most important goals in soccer history against England in the quarterfinals as he took home the tournament’s Golden Ball award as the best player. An incomparable star in Argentina, Maradona’s native country descended into a period of nation-wide mourning after the soccer star’s tragic death in November of 2020. The card’s BGS condition report: Centering: 8, Corners: 7.5, Edges: 9.5, Surface: 8.5. In Beckett’s population report of nine cards, this example is the only card graded at the NM-MT 8 level, with only two graded higher. A significant Maradona collectible, in robust Near Mint to Mint condition.
