One of the most prolific sluggers in recent history, Albert Pujols has revived his career in his third season with the Angels, helping lead the team to the 2014 post season! This cupped ended, 34 inch, 32.6 ounce cracked bat exhibits evidence of excellent game use with several ball marks and stitch impressions visible on the barrel, including blue transfer marks and white scuff markings. The crack appears from the middle of the handle up through the barrel, but has been repaired. Cleat marks and a weighted donut impression also appear, as does a heavy coat of pine tar on the upper handle and center brand. A visible mark on the handle identifies the face grain of the bat, which became a mandatory marking per Major League Baseball for all maple bats beginning in 2009. Pujols' number (5), the manufacture date (03/21/11), length (4) and weight (1.8) are stamped into the knob. The PSA/DNA sticker #1B03593 is affixed inside the cupped end. An MLB Authenticated sticker (FJ812490) is affixed to the barrel, indicating the gold sharpie “Albert Pujols 5 Game Used ‘12” autograph has been authenticated by MLB Authentication services. Comes with full LOA from PSA/DNA with grade of perfect GU-7.5.
