One of the most prolific sluggers in recent history, Albert Pujols is one of only three players to hit three home runs in a single World Series game, and has connected for over 2500 hits, 550 doubles, well over 500 home runs and almost 1600 RBI. These are all time great numbers! This cupped ended, 34 inch, 32.4 ounce un-cracked bat exhibits evidence of excellent game use with several ball marks and stitch impressions visible on the barrel, including blue transfer marks and white scuff markings. Cleat marks and a weighted donut impression also appear, as does a heavy coat of pine tar on the upper handle and center brand, with an amount of Mota stick on the handle. A visible mark on the handle identifies the face grain of the bat which became a mandatory marking, per Major League Baseball for all maple bats beginning in 2009. Pujols' number (5), the manufacture date (04/25/12), length (4) and weight (1.8) are stamped into the knob. The PSA/DNA sticker #1B04272 is affixed on the lower handle, near the knob. An MLB Authenticated sticker (EK323952) is affixed to the knob, indicating the gold sharpie “Albert Pujols 5 Game Used ‘12” autograph has been authenticated by MLB Authentication services.
