Graded NM-MT+ 8.5 by PSA/DNA. Autograph Grade MINT 9. Baseball Grade NM-MT 8. The beloved Yankee catcher achieved many things before he passed away – tragically and far too early – at the age of 32 in 1979. A two-time World Champion, the 1976 A.L. Most Valuable Player and the Bronx Bombers' revered captain, Munson was also a multi-sport athlete, a pilot, and a devoted family man. At some point along his life's prematurely abridged path, Munson also took the time to render his name on this exquisite baseball: this accomplishment pales in comparison to some of his other activities, of course, but it's of tremendous significance to an industry that rightfully appreciates such a fabulous memento. Munson's vibrant, blue ballpoint scripting rests dead-center on the sweet spot of this soothingly white and boldly stamped Official sphere, and the item's overall display quality is unparalleled. LOA from PSA/DNA (Grade Cert. #81839430; Autograph Cert. #A91419).
