The patriarch of a football family, tight-end Terry Orr played 8 years in the NFL, mostly with the Redskins. He caught over 50 passes for nearly 1,000 yards, and twice pulled in 58-yard receptions. In 1991, not only did Orr have a career-high 4 TDs and average 20 yards per reception, but he also snagged a 45-yard pass in the NFC Championship Game victory over the Lions.
This is the first Super Bowl XVI ring to become available at auction since linebacker Markus Koch's example sold for almost $30,000 in 2015. Manufactured by Tiffany & Co., the 10K-gold, size 13-1/2 ring features 175 points' worth of diamonds in the feather top design, with beautiful red enameling on the feather tips as well as on the shank logos for the Redskin logo and Super Bowl logo. It also boasts a dramatic, inspiring tribute to the White House facade—which seems perfectly apt during this current presidential campaign year. NM condition. Accompanied by a 1998 purchase LOA and a Tiffany & Co. presentation box with turquoise outer box cover.
