On August 29, 2003 Rickey Henderson stood on first base, eyeing that bag ninety feet away. Rockies pitcher Cory Vance knew what he had in mind, as did the 30,000 fans in Dodger Stadium. When Vance fired over to first to pick off Henderson, Rickey exploded towards second and slid in head first under Helton's tag. It would prove to be the last of Henderson's record 1,406 career stolen bases, and this is the very uniform he wore to swipe his last base. The uniform has been matched to stills taken from MLB broadcast of the August 29, 2003 game and one can clearly see the turf marks made on the last steal in evidence on the pants and jersey offered here. The classic Dodgers home white jersey has "Dodgers" in blue script across the front in blue tackle twill and Rickey's number "25" is in red below. Majestic label is sewn in the lower left front tail with size "44" tagging affixed. the left sleeve has the intertwined "LA" in blue, white and silver tackle twill. The back features "HENDERSON" and his "25" in blue and white tackle twill. The matching home white pants have the majestic label sewn in the waistband along with "25 Henderson 32-36 33 03" stitched on a white strip tag. Both the jersey and pants display awesome game use with a spectacular splash of Dodger Stadium infield turf obtained during Rickey very last stolen base. Besides the turf, there is various pine tar stains and other turf marks as you'd expect on the uniform of the "Man of Steal". A tremendous Hall of Fame-worthy uniform from a true baseball great.
