This multi-signed relic of a baseball carries and interesting array of old-time signatures including, Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Fame shortstop Honus Wagner as well as Clark Griffith who was most likely the owner of the Washington Senators at the time the ball was signed. Griffith’s prominent signature in steel tip fountain pen occupies the sweet spot. Wagner’s also in steel tip fountain pen is on a side panel to the left of the ball’s Reach Official American League (1932-1933) labeling. Hall of Fame second baseman Johnny Evers signature is on a side panel above American League President’s William Harridge signature stamp. Early 1900s New York Giants hurler Doc Crandall (1908-196) printed his signature along the ball’s red and blue stitching. Other signatures include former Senators and Chicago White Sox outfielder Joe Kuhel (1930-1947), former New York Yankees and St. Louis Browns outfielder Don Heffner (1934-1944), and early 1900s AL catcher Ira Thomas (1906-1915), Chicago Cubs pitcher Pete Standridge (1915) and three others. One of the National Baseball Hall of Fame’s inaugural class of five, Wagner is of course one of the game’s all-time greats still considered by many to be the game’s best shortstop. Griffith is a titan in the baseball industry who extended his Hall of Fame career as a pitcher into a lifetime as a manager and team owner. Evers and teammates Joe Tinker and Frank Chance have been immortalized in celebrated verse. Vintage period ball is in slightly weathered condition and comes with PSA/DNA LOA certification # Y04394.
