Author Ian Gardner tells, “The untold story of Third Battalion 506 Parachute Infantry Regiment during Operation Market Garden,” which occurred during World War II. In his book, Deliver Us From Darkness, Gardner talks about the soldiers of the Third Battalion who were known as the, “Band of Brothers,” and the battles that they had to fight. Gardner’s book is signed in blue marker by a few of the soldiers from the Third Battalion on the books title page including, William Wingett, Ed Tipper, Bradford Freeman, Herb Suerth, Edward Shames, Paul Rogers and Earl McClung. This item comes PSA/DNA authenticated (U05797). Accompanying this signed book is a 16x20” black and white photograph of the paratroopers descending to land which has been signed in black marker by a few of the soldiers including, Ed Mauser, Buck Compton, Bradford Freeman, Wild Bill Guarnere, Ed Heffron, Don Malarkey, and Frank Perconte.
