Former Chicago Cubs slugger Sammy Sosa used this Louisville Slugger R161 model bat during the 2000 season in Chicago. The bat displays blue ink transfers on the barrel, which indicates that it was used during the 2000 season. The bat, however, has a manufactured date of 1999, but often players would carry over bats from one season to the next. This bat shows outstanding use and has a slight crack on the back barrel and Sosa signed his name in blue marker and inscribed “#21”. This lot comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B09972) and a COA from PSA/DNA (Z19909) for his signature.
