Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Even though this card's esteemed subject played in parts of 15 seasons, he only participated in a total of 1,394 games (barely 9 years' worth), largely due to 4-1/2 years of military service in the prime of his life. Despite his relatively short career, when Greenberg retired from the game in 1947, his 331 home runs was the fifth-best total in the history of baseball. The collectible here offered exhibits a barely aged manner of display, and observable traces of wear can be seen only at the bottom-edge tips. Greenberg's image is bright and contrasts perfectly with the brilliant art-deco background that the National Chicle Company employed as a backdrop. A thoroughly appealing, green-backed tribute piece, in Excellent to Mint condition.
