This enviable collectible highlights Willie Mays' 1954 return to baseball from military service ... and he came back ready to play! The Giants' star won the only batting title of his career, ran away with the MVP Award, and led his team to victory in the World Series. This well-centered beauty looks as though it was just recently pulled from a pack. The card's gloss and color are superb. Mays' image delivers extraordinary clarity, and the borders framing the likeness are bright white in tone. All four corners are perfectly sharp and hold up well under the most determined scrutiny.
