Joe DiMaggio’s 56-game hit streak is widely considered to be the most unbreakable record in sports, but few know that as an 18-year old in his 1st season with the Pacific Coast League’s San Francisco Seals, Joe D. collected a hit in 61 straight games! This framed 11X14 photograph captures Joe D. in the midst of that streak, kneeling in his Seals uniform with his bat and a pair of cards reading ”39” and “40”, in reference to the 39th and 40th games in the streak. DiMaggio has signed the B&W photograph in the lower left corner, in bold and vibrant blue. Piece is attractively matted and framed, and includes a LOA from JSA.
