No one represents Boston basketball more than "Larry Legend". The Hall of gamer led the Celtics to three NBA titles, and his feats on the boards earned him three MVP Awards. Between 1989-1990, the last full season of his career, Bird managed at least 20 points a game and remained the leagues' leading clutch player. A back injury at the beginning of the following season led to Bird's retirement from the game. This colorful warm-up jacket was worn by the legend at the Boston Garden during that last great season. Bird's white warm-up jacket has "CELTICS" across the front in green and yellow screen printed letters. An NBA logo is embroidered on the right chest and the collar and sleeves are trimmed in green and white ribbing. Seven white metal snap buttons secure the front and all are in working order. The inside collar features size 46 MacGregor Sand-Knit label and "Designed and tailored Exclusively for BOSTON CELTICS" tag. White strip tags are chain stitched with "89" and "2MLB". Left and right sleeve carry a green and yellow screen printed clover. The back has "BIRD" in white tackle twill on a green name plate. The jacket displays good game use with some light staining. All knit parts are in excellent condition and the graphics remain solid and very bright. Letter of Authenticity from Alan Meza included.
