Called up at the beginning of the 2012 season, Washington’s Bryce Harper emerged as the National League most exciting player. Mid-season he was voted onto the All-Star team and finished the year as the NL’s Rookie of the Year. This rookie year Marucci BH318 model bat shows excellent use and is un-cracked. Several ball marks with stitch impressions are visible along with blue ink transfers and white leather ball scuffs.
There is the impression of a weighted batting donut visible and a moderate coat of pine tar is found on the center brand. The date of manufacture "05/10/12", Harper's number "34", length "4" and weight "2.0" are stamped into the knob.
