They were known as the M&M Boys, and in 1961 they provided a year’s worth of subject matter for the New York sportswriters of that era. Not only did this dynamic duo help lead the New York Yankees to another World Series championship, they were neck and neck most of the 1961 season in chasing after Babe Ruth’s record of 60 home runs, eventually broken by Maris in the final game of the season. Here are (2) individually signed photographs, one a Mickey Mantle photo signed by Mick, the other a photo diagram of a Maris RBI single in game 3 of the 1962 World Series, inscribed “To Tom Best Wishes” and signed by Roger Maris. Photos each come with a LOA from PSA/DNA.
