In 1980 Yaz was winding down his Hall of Fame career by moving to the DH spot. Although at age 40 he was among the oldest players in the league, the slugger hit .275 with 15 homers. The Louisville Slugger M110 model bat is un-cracked and shows evidence of excellent use. Several ball marks with stitch impressions are visible on the barrel along with cleat imprints. The handle has been taped in a loose spiral pattern to enhance the grip and a light coat of pine tar applied. Yaz's number "8" is found on the knob in black marker.
