The Mets center fielder is remembered today for two of the most phenomenal catches in World Series history. But Tommie Agee was also known for his clutch hitting which was exactly what the Amazin' Mets needed to win the 1969 pennant. This Adirondack bat dates from 1968-1970, the seasons in which the Mets stole the title of "New York's Team" from the Yankees. Tommie's Adirondack 280A model bat shows excellent use with a repaired handle crack. Several ball marks and stitch impressions are found on the barrel along with cleat imprints. A heavy coat of pine tar is on its handle and the model number "280A" is stamped into the knob. Agee's number "20" is written on the knob end in black marker. Letter of Authenticity (1B06463) from PSA/DNA who have graded this vintage gamer a GU 8.5.
