Throughout baseball, there are numbers that all players aspire to aim towards. For pitchers, there is the 300 win plateau. For pure hitters, 3,000 hits is the dream. And if you’re known for your power, 500 home runs is the pinnacle. In the history of baseball, only 26 men have accomplished this illustrious feat. As of this writing, only 16 of those 26 have been elected to the Hall of Fame.
This lot includes postcards from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, depicting the induction plaques for 12 of the 500 Home Run club members, each individually signed by that player. Players included are Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Frank Robinson, Harmon Killebrew, Reggie Jackson, Mike Schmidt, Mickey Mantle, Willie McCovey, Ted Williams, Ernie Banks, Eddie Mathews and Eddie Murray. This lot has been pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
