During the years he used this bat, Donny Baseball was in the midst of one of the greatest offensive stretches in Yankee history. In '86 he led the AL in hits and doubles, his tally that year also breaking franchise records set by Earle Combs and Lou Gehrig respectively. The following year he hit a record 6 grand slam homers in one season and hit homers in 8 consecutive games. The Louisville Slugger T141 model bat shows outstanding use and is un-cracked. Many ball marks with stitch impressions and blue ink transfers are found on the barrel along with blue bat rack paint streaks and impression of a batting donut. A heavy coat of pine tar is on the handle up to the center brand. Elston Howard's number "32" is written on both the knob and barrel ends in black marker. Mattingly has signed the barrel in black marker. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA (1B06197) from PSA/DNA who have graded this bat a perfect GU 10.
