Every generation has its baseball icons, players who stand out as the finest of their era. Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron – all are considered among the greatest to have ever played the game. When his playing career is over, Albert Pujols will rightfully take his place among these icons. Breaking into the league with the St. Louis Cardinals, Pujols began his career as the unanimous National League Rookie of the Year in 2001. Over the next 11 seasons with the Cards, Pujols hit 445 home runs, won 3 National League Most Valuable Player awards, 1 National League Batting Championship and 2 home run titles. He was named an All-Star 9 times, and played an integral role for both the 2006 and the 2011 World Series Champion Cardinals. Pujols now plays for the Los Angeles Angels, but his accomplishments with the team that made him a star are undeniable. This St. Louis Cardinals Home Jersey is game-used from 2005, Pujols’ first MVP campaign during which he hit 41 home runs and amassed 117 RBI. The jersey features a Busch Stadium Final Season 1966-2005 patch on the left shoulder, and the iconic Cardinals logo across the front, bearing the number 5. The jersey is signed by Pujols on the back, just below his name and above his number 5. It comes with a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA
