Hall of Famer George Brett burst onto the scene with the upstart Kansas City Royals in the late 1970s, culminating with two World Series appearances (1980 & 1985). Brett wore this royal blue New Era wool cap with the white interlocking KC during the late 1970s. Brett’s number “5” is hand-written in black marker on the underside of the brim and “GEORGE BRETT” is also hand-written in black marker on the white inner sweat band. This hat comes with a full LOA from Mears.
