This ball was used in Cal Ripken's 2131 consecutive game. The September 6th game was a 4-2 win over the California Angels at Camden Yards. The Iron Man has signed the sweet spot in blue ball point and noted "2131 CG" and teammate Harold Baines signed a side panel adding "Game Used Ball 9/6/96. The Rawlings Official Major League ball has the special Cal Ripken "8" logo stamped on it used during his pursuit of Lou Gehrig's record.
