This Tampa Bay Rays Alternate Jersey, #14, was worn by pitcher David Price in 2014 before his trade to the Detroit Tigers on July 31st. Jersey is dark blue with light blue striping with heavy puckering and loose threads that are consistent throughout. The jersey was manufactured by Majestic using their CoolBase mesh fabric. "RAYS" is written across the chest in navy blue, and the name "PRICE" is patched above "14" on the back in matching style. On the right sleeve is a small patch, reading “ZIM” in honor of former Rays senior advisor and baseball legend Don Zimmer, was added by the team on June 7th. The Majestic manufacturer’s tag, size 48, can be found in the lower left of the front tail, with the MLB Authentication Hologram Sticker #HZ065971. Price wore this navy blue jersey for the following games: April 11th at Cincinnati, April 27th at Chicago White Sox, May 2nd at New York Yankees, May 30th at Boston, July 1st at New York Yankees, July 6th at Detroit and July 19th at Minnesota. Please note that the jersey was removed from the Rays locker room on August 2, 2014, two days after Price was traded to the Detroit Tigers, which is why MLB Authenticated lists this item as "Team Issued".
