This is a 2008 New York Yankees road uniform worn by Xavier Nady. This grey button-down Yankees jersey reads “NEW YORK” across the chest in navy blue, with Nady’s #22 on the reverse in matching style. In keeping with Yankee tradition, there is no name on the back of the jersey. On the right sleeve is a patch reading “Major League Baseball * All-Star Game * N.Y.C. 2008”. The left sleeve bears a 2nd patch depicting the Yankee Stadium façade, reading “1923-2008 * Yankee Stadium”. A black arm band also adorns the left sleeve, to mark the passing of former Yankee Bobby Murcer. This arm band was worn from July 13th through the end of the 2008 season. The “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s label is tagged on the front lower left tail, accompanied by two tags that read “2008” and “48”. Jersey shows moderate to heavy game use, and is accompanied by a Steiner LOA and Steiner Authentication Hologram.
