In what was dubbed before the fight as “The Showdown”, WBC welterweight champion “Sugar” Ray Leonard took on WBA welterweight champions Thomas “Hitman” Hearns on September 16, 1981 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Leonard won in the 14th round after referee Davey Pearl stopped the fight. This 2 ¾ x 7 inch original ticket with a face value of #300.00 is from that bout and is in good condition.
