Initiated on April 15, 2004, Jackie Robinson Day is celebrated each year on the anniversary of his Major League debut. On that date, all MLB on-field personnel wear jerseys bearing Robinson’s #42. This Cincinnati Reds Jersey was game worn by Joey Votto on April 15, 2012, a road game at Nationals Park in Washington, DC. Votto drew 3 walks, scored a run, and went 1-3 at the plate, with a 2-run double in the 11th inning proving to be the game winner. Jersey is grey button-down, with Cincinnati in red across the chest above a small 42. The Majestic Authentic Collection tag is on the lower left front tail, with Votto’s usual #19 written on the mlb logo. Below this, a smaller tag reading “Property of the Cincinnati Red 2012”. The Reds recognizable C logo is patched on the left sleeve, while the back simply reads 42 in red lettering. Jersey shows heavy game use, and is tagged with MLB Authentication Hologram #EK04099.
