Miguel Cabrera’s first hit, as a member of the Florida Marlins, was a walk-off 2-run home run in the 11th inning. That was in 2003, and he hasn’t looked back since. He spent 5 remarkable seasons with the Marlins before being traded to the Detroit Tigers prior to the 2008 season. 7 years later, he has gone from being simply a feared power hitter to the best hitter in the game. Since joining the Tigers, “Miggy” has 2 MVP’s, 2 home run titles, and led the league in batting 3 times. In 2012, Cabrera defied the odds to become the first player in either league to win the Triple Crown in 45 years.
This Detroit Tigers home jersey was worn by Miguel Cabrera on September 6, 2014, vs. the San Francisco Giants. In the game Cabrera hit 2 homeruns and drove in 3 en route to a 25-HR, 109 RBI season campaign. The jersey is white with the iconic Detroit Tigers “D” logo on the front left chest. The back of the Jersey features Cabrera 24. Jersey has some discoloration around the collar and on the left shoulder.
