Detroit Tigers pitcher Anibal Sanchez set a Detroit Tigers single-game record by striking out 17 Atlanta Braves in his eight innings during the Tigers 10-0 victory on April 26, 2013. This official Alan H. Selig baseball was used during this game as Chris Johnson of the Braves fouled off a Sanchez pitch off the screen. The ball shows extensive use, including what looks like a bat mark on the sweet spot. Sanchez signed his name on the non-trademark sweet spot in bold blue ink and inscribed “Tigers Record 17 K” and also included his jersey number “19”. This baseball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 402621) which authenticates the game use and signature.
