If one looks back at Miguel Cabrera's first two seasons in the majors, it becomes quite clear why he is today regarded as one of the best ball players to come around in a generation. His back-to-back MVP seasons and triple crown have all but solidified his place in Cooperstown. This Florida Marlins jersey, dating to his second full season in the majors, stands as a silent reminder of the early promise that Cabrera once showed and which he has now completely lived up to. In 2005, the year this jersey was worn, the third baseman put up almost exactly the same numbers as those he posted in 2004; 116 RBI and a .323 average. His 33 home runs precisely mirrored the number he hit in 2004 making him at age 22 the youngest player in MLB history to have back-to-back 30 home run seasons. The front of Cabrera's 2005 white home pinstripe jersey features the "Marlins" script logo across the chest in black, teal and silver tackle twill. Cabrera's number "24" is just below on the left side in the same colors. Majestic label is sewn in the left front tail with added "24 52 05 253" strip tag. The left sleeve carries the marlin logo patch. The back has "CABRERA" and his number "24" sewn on in black, teal and silver tackle twill. The future Hall of Famer has signed the "2" in silver pen adding "GAME USED 2005". A Rich Altman's Hollywood Collectibles hologram is affixed adjacent to the signature. A flawless signed gamer from Cabrera's early years. This jersey comes with a full letter of authenticity from Mears, who have graded this jersey a perfect A-10 and a LOA from PSA/DNA (X00735) .
