Following the 2011 season, and 11 remarkable years with the St. Louis Cardinals, Albert Pujols signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Angels. After a stellar campaign in 2012, his first season in LA, Pujols struggled for the next 2 seasons, hitting less than 30 home runs for the first 2 times in his career. Now in his 4th season with the Angels, Pujols has rediscovered his swing to the tune of 35 home runs (and counting), and continues his assault on the record books as he solidifies his case for a ticket to Cooperstown.
This 2014 Los Angeles Angels Road Jersey was game worn by Pujols on May 26th, 2014 at Safeco Field in Seattle, WA. The Mariners defeated the Angels 5-1 that day, with Pujols going 1 for 4 and accounting for the only Angels score with his 14th home run of the season. The Angels would go on to win the American League West Division easily that season before losing to the juggernaut Kansas City Royals in the Division Series. Of note, this jersey is the Memorial Day Commemorative red jersey with camo lettering and numbers. The Angels halo logo can be found on the right sleeve, while the team patch can be found on the left sleeve.
