George Halas was a pioneer of the National Football League, and the founder of the Chicago Bears. As if that weren’t enough, Halas coached the Bears to 324 wins and 6 NFL Championships during his 40-year coaching career. His integrity and respect for his players is legendary, as is evidenced by this letter Halas personally sent to Fred Morrison to inform him of his being traded to the Cleveland Browns.
This unique and entertaining item is dated July 6, 1954, and typed out on Chicago Bears Football Club letterhead. It is addressed to Mr. Fred L. Morrison of Columbus, OH and is personally signed by George Halas. The letter is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
