The Most Valuable Player of the 1950 Rose Bowl, the first time the game was nationally televised, Fred “Curly” Morrison was drafted by the Chicago Bears with the 10th pick in the 1950 NFL draft. Morrison led the Bears in rushing in two of his four years with the team before being traded to the Cleveland Browns where he played in three consecutive NFL championship games from 1954-1956. He led the Browns in rushing in 1955 and was named to the only Pro Bowl of his career. This 10” x 14” Ohio State dinner program and menu is signed at the top by Morrison in blue marker: “Fred ‘Curly’ Morrison fullback ‘33’”and is also signed by nine Hollywood film stars including: Gene Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor, Amanda Blake, Howard Keel, Vera-Ellen, Judy Garland, George Murphy, Van Johnson and Kathy Grayson. All signatures are in blue ball point pen with the exception of Keel (in pencil) and most contain personal inscriptions addressed to Morrison who also included a list of the signees names on the remaining three pages of a pad of personal stationery; comes with JSA LOA.
