For years painter Dick Perez has been the "house artist" of the Baseball Hall of Fame. No one captures the game's greats like his watercolors do, and his style has now become synonymous with baseball's greatest moments. Limited to a run of just 5,000, this beautiful set was first issued in 1985 and continued for the next decade with periodic updates. Designed in the style of the famed 1910 T-3 Turkey Red cards, these 5 3/4" x 8" cards feature Perez's full color art on the front and the back has a synopsis of each player's Hall of Fame career. Each card is stored in a clear protective sleeve housed in one of three vinyl covered binders. 67 of the cards have been signed including Campanella, Ford, Aaron, Musial, Ted Williams, Spahn, Koufax, Roberts, Mantle, Banks, McCovey, Mize, Reese, Irvin, Mathews, Slaughter, Gehringer, Snider, Dandridge, Hubbell, Doerr, Kaline, Dickey, Stargell, Brooks Robinson, Herman, Aparicio, Gomez, Killebrew, Bench, Cool Papa Bell, Berra, Schoendienst, Marichal, Buck Leonard, George Kell, Catfish Hunter, Boudreau, Al Lopez, Mays, Brock, Lemon, Billy Williams, Rick Ferrell, Yastrzemski, Seaver, Kiner, Carew, Perry, Newhouser, Wynn, Feller, Palmer, Al Barlick, Morgan, Jenkins, Frank Robinson, Wilhelm, Bunning, Carlton, Schmidt, Lasorda, Reggie Jackson, Niekro, Rizzuto, Earl Weaver, Reese (on a Reese-Robinson card), and a Mays, Mantle and Snider group card. All signatures rate a 10/10 and are in a variety of blue or black marker and ball point. A stunningly attractive collection of not only beautiful art but the autographs of 67 of the greatest ball players to ever play the game. Auction Letter from JSA.
