Even during spring training, teams will sometimes wear alternate jerseys. Thus was the case on March 17, 2008, when the St. Louis Cardinals hosted the Atlanta Braves at their spring training facility in Jupiter, FL. The Cards have traditionally bought in former players to serve as instructors during camp, and 2008 was no exception as Lou Brock was in attendance. This size 48 St. Louis Cardinals jersey, sporting Brock #20 on the back, was game worn on March 17, 2008 by Lou Brock. The jersey is green with white side panels to recognize St. Patrick’s Day, manufactured by Majestic using their Cool Base mesh fabric. The front of the jersey sports the well-known “Birds on the Bat” Cardinals logo across the chest, while lettering and numbers on the back are White on black lettering. The numeral 2 is signed by Lou Brock, while the numeral 0 is inscribed “HOF 85”. Jersey comes with a COA from the St. Louis Cardinals ballclub, stating that “this unique jersey was issued to and worn by the aforementioned instructor in Spring Training 2008 only on St. Patrick’s Day; March 17, 2008.” Also includes a COA from JSA, with Authentication sticker.
