Twelve flown fragments of all eleven manned Apollo command or lunar modules and the unmanned Apollo 4 module, encased in a 2.75” x 3.5” x 1” Lucite rectangular prism with beveled edges. Limited Edition numbered 2 of 10. Fine condition.
The numerical mission is identified beneath each fragment. The patch of each mission is reproduced in color on one rectangular side which also bears the photograph, taken by Neil Armstrong, of Buzz Aldrin on the Moon. Numbered in the Lucite “2/10.”
Apollo 4 was the Saturn V launch vehicle’s first test flight. Launched on November 9, 1967, without a crew, the almost nine hour mission splashed down in the Pacific Ocean. NASA deemed the mission a complete success.
