This uniform was worn by “The Commander” during the team’s final season at historic Comiskey Park, it was the same season in which Fisk would break Johnny Bench’s all-time home run record for catchers. At 42 years of age, Fisk’s production numbers were still among the best of his team, despite playing a position that’s notorious for shortening careers of even the heartiest professionals.
