In a career that lasted just shy of 20 years, Enos Slaughter was a hit-machine, cranking out 2,383 and clocking in at numb beer two on the list of career doubles. Slaughter played the game like his life depended on it - best illustrated by his furious base running during Game 7 of the 1946 World Series. By 1955 Slaughter's legs might have slowed a bit but his bat didn't. The New York Yankees eagerly took him on as a utility and pinch-hitter and he became an intrigue part of their late 1950's championship teams. This bat was used by the Hall of Famer during the 1955 and 1956 seasons which saw him with both the Kansas City Athletics and New York Yankees. The Hillerich & Bradsby M110 model bat shows great game use and is un-cracked. The barrel has many ball marks and stitch impressions along with cleat imprints. Slaughter's number "33", his number with Kansas City, is found on the knob end in faded marker. The bat's handle has been taped in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip. A great gamer from one of the hardest-charging guys in the Hall of Fame. Letter of Authenticity (1B06595) from PSA/DNA.
