Though this bat corresponds to orders placed by Bonds in 1991-1992 when he was with Pittsburgh, the presence of the number "25" on the knob end points to its use while he was a member of the Giants starting in 1993.
Bonds relinquished his number "24" worn while with the Pirates in deference to the great Willie Mays who wore "24" and which the Giants had retired. The Louisville Slugger H238 model bat shows moderate use and is un-cracked. There is some checking on the barrel from repeated ball contact. Bonds' number "25" is on the knob and the slugger has signed the front barrel in black marker. Letter of Authenticity
