Chick Hafey was one of the St. Louis Cardinals first stars. In the 1920's and early 30's the outfielder's heavy hitting was an integral part of two Cardinal World Championships and he has the distinction of being the first baseball star to wear glasses. Hafey was a Cincinnati Red when he was using this bat in 1932-1933, a time in which he hit .344 and registered the very first hit in the very first All-Star Game. The Hillerich & Bradsby Chick Hafey professional model bat shows excellent use with a cracked handle. A missing piece from the back barrel has been restored and there are several vintage ball marks, stitch impressions and cleat imprints visible. A classic pre-model professional H&B bat used by one of the original All-Stars. Letter of Authenticity (1B06593) from PSA/DNA who have graded this bat a GU 7.
