This bat dates from the heart of Gwynn’s reign as the nemesis of NL pitching. “Mr. Padre” hit a tremendous .349 with 870 hits and made the All-Star team all five years this bat dates from. The Louisville Slugger C263 model bat displays moderate use and is un-cracked. Numerous ball marks with stitch impressions and black ink transfers can be seen on the barrel. The handle has been taped with a spiral of adhesive tape and pine tar to enhance the grip. Model number "C263", length and weight "33-30" and Gwynn's number "19" are written on the knob end in black marker. His number is repeated on the barrel end as well. Letter of Authenticity (1B06571) from PSA/DNA.
