Eliot Asinof’s Seven Days to Sunday: Crisis Week with the New York Football Giants was published in 1968 by Simon and Schuster. This particular copy was given as a gift for Christmas, 1969. The inscription on the inside cover is to a gentleman named Gunther, from Tony Pisani, the orthopedic surgeon for the NY Football Giants from 1956 to 1974. On the right hand side, blank page opposite the back of the cover, the inscription reads “Best Wishes”, followed by 15 signatures of Giant players from 1969. Notable signatures include: Fran Tarkenton, Spider Lockhart, Pete Case, Ken Avery, Steve Wright, Joe Koontz, Alex Webster, Jim Katcavage, John Dziegiel, Darrell Dess and Bruce Anderson. Signatures are in blue and black ink, on a slightly toned white page. The paper book cover shows some wear, and the item is accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
