For 14 years “Donnie Baseball” was the face of the New York Yankees franchise. The 6-time All-Star was the AL’s Most Valuable player in 1985 and his career bridged the gap between the late 70’s-early 80’s teams of Billy Martin and the beginning of the Joe Torre era.
