This official RIAA Certified Platinum Sales Award reads "Presented to Brian Interland to commemorate the sale of more then 1,000,000 copies of the Columbia Records Album, Cassette and C.D. "Thriller." Michael Jackson’s monumental 1982 album sold an estimated 110 million copies, the undisputed record, and remains number 20 on Rolling Stone’s list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Of the seven singles released off the album, each one became a Top Ten hit, including "Beat it" , "Billy Jean" and of course "Thriller."
The framed platinum record is in excellent condition and measures 21"X 16 7/8". Brian Interland spent a 30 year career in the recording industry and received this award directly as a result of his efforts on "Thriller." Don't be confused with inexpensive replicas or RIAA awards with no provenance, this is an actual award that comes directly from an original recipient. Comes with LOA from Brian Interland.
