Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by PSA/DNA. All four Beatles have signed this cut portion of a hotel menu. One can only imagine the giddy anticipation that must have been felt by the autograph seeker who obtained these splendid pencil signatures. As one envisions the scene today, the person who spotted the quartet at Punch’s Hotel in Doncaster (a city in England’s South Yorkshire County) was doubtless overcome by joy while watching each musician oblige in placing their signatures. John Lennon scrolled a solid signature at the cut’s top edge. Paul McCartney contributed his name at the cut’s center, and Ringo Starr and George Harrison added their penmanship at the bottom left and right corners, respectively. The unique memento carries small spots of adhesive tape residue (likely traces of one-time scrapbook mounting) but these do not impinge upon or distract from the scriptings. This is a marvelous representation of the Beatles’ cherished signatures, wherein all of the autographs boast estimable strength and clarity.
